Lost in the Dark

He looks at the dark sky
When he's short of words.

He always thrives to
Express what he feels;
But..
Ends up with short of words and;
Starts looking at the dark sky.

He loves being pragmatic and introvert;
But..
Believes in magic and;
When magic doesn't work,
He starts looking at the dark sky.

He believes love and friendship are
Two beautiful emotions.
But..
For him, "ever yours" is a synonym of "never yours".

He's looking at the dark sky.

Story Behind Having Peace

Scene One:
Last Sunday I went to Chilukur Balaji temple (in Hyderabad). My only intention of going temple is to have peace and nothing else. As soon as I stepped out of the bus, a 22-25 aged man came to me and said to take coconuts at his shop and also gave discount like if I take coconuts then I can leave my sandals at their shop for free. I ignored him and thought he did the same. I went on towards the temple and also searching coconuts, a place where I can leave my sandals. On my way, there was his shop and he asked me to come to his shop and when I went there, I found that nothing is similar to what I thought and just ignored the shop and this person followed me and started irritating me to take and leave at his shop only. First I politely replied the reason why I ignored his shop. Instead of understanding, he started to irritate me and again I said not to indulge me anymore but he didn't stop and then I said _|_. He went away.

Scene Two:
At last I found a shop where I can take coconuts and also leave my sandals. And as usual I took out money that best suits the coconuts (I thought it would be Rs 30 but she said Rs 50. I too know the cost of a coconut because at our village, we too have a temple). I just gave the amount and she packed them in a polythene cover. As I was entering into the temple, a man at the entrance stopped me and asked not to carry the polythene cover and pointed towards a shop where there are gunny bags. I went there and gave the cover and she gave me two gunny bags (just enough to fit for a coconut and I had two coconuts) worth Rs 20.

Scene Three:
I went inside the temple. There is a tradition in the temple that, if you want to make a wish, you have to make pradakshinas around the temple and I started my pradakshinas. While I was doing my pradakshina, there was a man behind me and he was pushing me. I turned back to him and said, you just need legs to make pradakshinas unless you wish to crawl.

Scene Four:
I came out of the temple and my throat was dry. So, thought of having mazaa. I went to a shop and deliberately asked him the price and he said it is Rs 35 (the original cost is Rs 25) and when I said him that it is Rs 25 and it is written on the bottle, he said, if you want to take, then take.. else leave.

I went to bus stop. I needed to make urgent call and went to a mobile recharge shop in the bus station. I asked him to recharge of Rs 100 and he asked me to give Rs 110 and I asked, why should I pay you 110 and again I got same reply from him. This time I argued because I wanted to know the reason. He said, government is charging him Rs 24,000 per month (rental) and if I do business as you are suggesting me then I'll be in loss and I said, but you are not even doing fair business and he said this is fair business and you are not habituated to this new generation. I argued that you are not understanding the value of Rs 10 and mean while a man who maintains a shop besides him said that the system is like this and we can't do anything.

I came to know that there is no point in arguing and before leaving I said to the shop keeper that, "You may take from me today. But, don't raise your finger when I take from you tomorrow".

Shades of a Tree

I still don't get a reason why Siddhhartha Gautama (Gautama Buddha) sat under a pipal tree to get enlightened. He believed that by meditation he can find the truth. The question is, what truth? When you are unable to see what is right and what is wrong when your eyes are open then what can you see when your eyes are closed?

What is the point in praying Siddhartha Gautama? Because he meditated for 6 straight years and gave speeches on truth? What one has to understand is he did for himself and he believed that he committed sin and for that reason he practiced self-mortification. Now ask yourself, will you practice self-mortification?

Considering Gautama as sage:

So one fine morning, there was a gathering and Gautama was addressing them. A man arrived and stood under a shadow of a tree. And he is a devotee of Ram and he has invested his total life to his God (please don't be a typical Indian here... because there are many Gods in India. Some are male and some are female and when I say God, you can take any) and one day he gets a doubt in his mind. What if God doesn't exist? His entire life would just be waste of doing nothing than pronouncing Rama.. Rama. So he asked Gautama, "Is there God?" and Gautama said in a clear voice, "NO".

In the evening, another man came and stood in the shadows. This man is charvaka (charvakas are materialistic people, they believe what they see and nothing else). I would like to say something here. True democracy - in India you have right to spread a message that God doesn't exist and you have also right to spread a message that He exists. So he proved thousands of people that there is no God. But one day, in his mind he has got a doubt. What if God exists? He would torture him more than anyone else for what he did. So he want to confirm that is there an enlightenment here? He wanted to confirm this and asked Gautama, "Is there God?" and Gautama said in a clear voice, "YES".

So what is there on Gautama's mind? In the morning he said there is no God and in the evening he said there is God. See, you are believing something that you do not know and you have the right to believe in anything which is not related to reality itself.

Okay let's come into reality.

I woke up in the morning and my clock said that it is 6 am. Next day it showed 7 am and the other day it showed 5 am. Before or after, I have to pass 6 O'clock in between. Even though the clock alarms same music at 6 O'clock, hour hand points at 6 and minutes hand at 12, I felt that it's not the same shadow that I have been under yesterday, today and the next day.

So, I thought to sit under a tree as Gautama did and started thinking about trees that I prefer.

The first one I thought of is the Papaya tree. Strange thing about this tree is, its root is not hollow while the stem is hollow. Even though it provides shadow and its leaves are more or less have same outfit as pipal tree, what if a heavy winds blows? So thought of alternative.

Second one that I thought of is Banana tree. Strange thing about this tree is, when you are required to keep one, its root will provide you with multiple options and you have to choose one that you think has the strong stem.  And its stem is even more interesting because it's wrapped by layer by layer. If you remove one then you'll find another.

Wait, why am I talking about trees here? Why am I talking about its stem and all? Is there a relation between trees and people's mind? Am I thinking to seek truth or practice self-mortification? Do I get anything if I practice? Do you want me to sit under a tree.. which tree? And should I call that tree as what..?? (Bo-Tree is already taken)

Guilty Phase

It was 7am. I was going to attend an interview. It is the same road that I travel everyday. First day I saw a women sitting on the road and I thought she was sitting under a tree. While returning (at 5pm), I saw the same lady sitting under the same tree. I thought she was doing that because she is waiting for someone else to come. I observed her for three days. And she used to come early in the morning and leave late in the evening. I didn't understand what she was doing until one day I returned at 1pm. She was sitting under the same tree under sun with a small cover spread in-front of her. I thought to wait that day. I stayed there for two hours and she didn't even move. I was starving but don't really know whether to offer her a meal or just simply walk away.

Same road, second curve.
-- He can't walk. He carries a bag everyday with him. I don't really know how he does that or someone else will leave him there. There was a heavy rain in the afternoon and I have to pass from that road. I didn't see the women but I saw this man drenched with water without a cloth on his body. He was leaning on the road. I don't know what to say or don't know what to give.

Whenever I pass through that road, I come across these two people. Some where deep inside me, I feel guilt and I just keep my head down and will walk away from that sight too quickly. I say to myself, what are you when you can't offer someone at least a meal or give them a proper living (at least for a day) and as everyone, I say to myself.. why should I when everyone else is busy with their life?

I asked myself, who are these people..? Why are they on roads..? Don't they have a home to stay..? Different people have different stories. Some suffer with alien-ism (mental disorder or illness). Everyone has to pass this phase in one's life. Some suffer for their family and from their family. Those little things such as anger, inference makes them apart. Instead of having patience, they are forced to depart. We find 10% of this people somewhere in the deepest corner of the world and the rest 90%..among us.

We think we are moving too fast but what we have to understand is we are lagging behind. And since we think that we are moving too fast, we never have or had time to look at them and take a move towards them. In our view, he / she is someone shallow-brained and mad. But in his / her view, we all are insane and shatter-brained people. Fear, pain, suffering, betrayal, concerns and lots and lots of such phases that are caused by WE made their life exponential-hard.

To understand someone, one needs to go near to them and ask about his / her life that has been spent by them. Everyone is living among us and with us but the truth is, we never turn to them.

Being a part

I thought the meaning of Independence is being by self but may be people of India took it so firmly, because India always shows its palm WHITE at World Bank and BLACK at Swiss Bank. People took it to that extent so that their fore families can live with what they have now. And I think it would have been better if we are ruled rather than being doomed.

When I hear the word Independence, what strikes me is what I pledged when I was a child, "India is my country and all Indians are my brothers and sisters." But now I think I have to pledge I'm Hindu or Muslim or Sikh or may be Andhraid or Telanganaid.

I thought divide and conquer rule is to develop India but I never thought that, it was intended to divide people of India and then conquer them. You can easily see that in politics. No matter what you do to your village or colony but what they see is, are you from my caste or have you given me money or at least a quarter. Being in urban area, you might say, grow up and India is on its way to wake up. And I say, I was waiting for that since 22 years.

I didn't come here to either blame someone or accuse someone but I'm here to say that love your nation more than what you do to your family and when you start doing that, what you shower is love and what you harvest is peace. And keep this in your mind,

There was a semicolon on your wrist which says,
"A life that could've been ended." "But, hadn't been."

Don't be apart, but be a part.  - - Happy Independence Day :)

Undegradable Crime

This blog is written by considering recent events and practical things which are happening. I just hope that this will change at least few.

I read somewhere that, "Don't tell me how to dress!! Tell them not to rape." I really have few doubts here. Take the case of Delhi, recent village rape case or take technology case (You'll read it soon) and what you find common is this, "They never raped a girl looking at what they wore", and if you really take a deep look, then you find that they were raped in the presence of people they knew. Something hit you..??

Ask yourself.. When will you hurt someone or do anything bad to someone..?.. It's only when that someone has done the same. And if you search for reasons behind these cases, then you'll find a different story with each and every one of it. Let me tell you the recent one which happened in Bangalore outskirts.

A boy and girl met on Facebook and they became friends. As per police records, they were known to each other and during a weekend, the boy calls the girl around 3am and she leaves with him and his driver and she was raped. Now, what you have to observe is: firstly, they are known to each other and secondly, the girl went when she was called at 3am. At this point, if I ask you to say something then being a girl you might say that, "She trusted him and she has right as per law" and if you are a boy then you'll say, "Was she mad?." Feel any difference.? I'm not asking about the rights and not even interested in knowing them but what one has to understand is the decision they are making and it applies to both boys and girls.

Let me tell you one more thing. Technology hasn't just reduced the time of work that has to be done but it has also altered the life style. For example, (being more practical) earlier porn CD's were sold but now, "Half of the movie was produced and directed by themselves (Thanks to Skype and GMail in this context) and we call the second half as RAPE." (This is in case of educated one's)

Let me tell you one more interesting thing. Those all who has done the first half are that aware: they purposefully delete all their chats and seriously it's shocking that they started this before few years and now lawyers are using those chats to get divorce for those who wish to and after that they act as if they have done nothing and there is one story that I came across during Delhi rape case. This letter was written by a girl to the other.

Whole nation was on its feet. Some were lighting candles and some were busy in their routine work, few were shouting without a cause but only some stood strong with a cause and they are the one's who tasted the sweetness of lathi. This is taken from Hyderabad city.

It's a huge crowd and it was around 7 PM. Some stood with candles in their hands and some were protesting against what happened in Delhi. Girl A was standing before Girl B. Girl A wore western type of dress and the other was traditional. They exchanged information about each other and became friends. From then on they used to meet now and then. Girl A was rich while the other was from middle class who lives in a hostel. One day Girl A asks Girl B to join a party and when Girl B reaches there, she notices that she wasn't habituated to that environment and she departs and from then on Girl B thinks to stay away from her.

One day, a friend of Girl B meets with an accident and being poor, she tries to call Girl A but she won't get any response. To save her friend, she thinks to visit Girl A's house directly and when she reaches there, she'll find Girl A with few boys at her house and when she questions about this, Girl A replies, "This is all common and you have to move on." And now, the Girl B asks, "Does she have the right to light the candle or fight for her right..?"

Now you may say that it is just a narrated story or you might say that it's only one among millions and I too can say that rapes are also one in millions. Right is right to you and also me.

What we have to observe is this. The world is full of good, bad and ugly. If you choose good, then worst thing that might happen is you become bad, if you choose bad then you may become ugly and if you choose ugly then you are done. It applies to each and everyone of us.

There are different ways to look at a point. Some says that having love on others while you are in a relationship is fair while some says it's not. Some argue that we have only one life so we should do what we like to and love or express to whom we wish and same applies to his/her partner. But say that, only one is wishing to leave while the other wanna stay. Then..?? What if you have lacked the ability to visualize or feel your partner's love.? And at that time, if you say to move on since you got the one, then what about the other.? The other might have put his / her entire life to love you and to be with you but you ignored and again you might have your own reasons and the reason that's left is the SATISFACTION but not LOVE. Then whose mistake is this.? The loved one or the one who chose one's need.? Then comes the real part. Good leave them as their wish and move on. Bad is little bit egoistic but leaves in the end but the ugly is purely egoistic and he/she either kills or kills himself/herself. And again the ugly can behave in different ways while the motive remains the same. Every relation starts unexpectedly but ends tragically and it's just because one believes the other and other doesn't.

Earlier I used to think that meaning of soul mate is just unique but now it's like Wi-Fi. The more you get closer, the more strong signals you receive and if you go apart you lose the connection and strange thing is, password is shared. At this point host acts as TDMA.

I don't think Government has any role in this. It is obvious that they can't provide security for each and every square meter and killing just increases the number of crimes with "NEW TECHNOLOGIES". Killing is never a solution but killing the bad and the ugly in you is the only solution. (Applies to both boys and girls)

Note: Share it if you feel it is true.

Being Fair

Before cultivating seeds, you first remove weed in the field and burn it. And then plough the land, make it level, wait for rain and then you grow the seed. After all that hard-work, you still find weed in the crop. Now the question is, "When you didn't grew weed, where did it come from..?"

And again, do we keep quite after removing weed? NO. We don't want it to destroy our crop and at the same time we want to increase the yield of the crop. And it clearly says that, we want more than what nature is giving us in return for the hard-work. We expect more and with that greediness and extra wanting nature in mind, we not only contaminate the soil but we pollute air too. That extra wanting character which is either created or cultivated in us is like a never ending process.

Am I talking about the life cycle of a crop here..?? Wait. I guess I was talking about the life cycle of a politician. And I think, "No family member of a politician will die of thirst. Ever..!!!"

Strange thing is, we, the one who creates a ruler are still with a hope that someday, some supernatural body will come and rescue us. I ask myself, "Who is A.Raja before 1996..?" And the answer is, he comes from a dalit family who has BSc and law degree. And who was he.? He was just a "COMMON MAN". I am neither the supporter of AAP, BJP or Congress. I vote for the one who rains on a dry field and give a living.

"Government is not corrupt, but the people governing the Government are corrupt. "

Unexpected Journey

No one plans a murder out loud. It may be either paralegal or legal but what all matter is what we really seek. We always feel that someone is always ready to bring us down and at the same time we say ourselves that the enemy will never slit our throat while we are sleeping. In both cases we fail. One must read the lines that are beautifully quoted.

  Yatho hastas thatho drishti
  Yatho drishtis thatho manah
  Yatho manas thatho bhaava
  Yatho bhavos thatho rasah

Nature is something that will always surprise you even if you think to step one foot ahead. And if you say like you are afraid of nothing, it will make you count each and every step that you keep ahead. And it also has its natural order and those who try to upend it, do not fare well. But what we have to remember is that we are in a jungle but not in a society because sometimes you need to say that you are around roomful of people even if you aren't and try to speak to you in a thousand silent ways.

I never thought that I'll play badminton seriously, but I'm doing now. That's nature. I never thought that I'll play with drishti, manah, bhaava and rasah. But, I'm doing now. Winning and losing are part of a game. Whatever we start with, it may be a single drop in a limitless ocean and we may not be sure of it's survival. Still, if you want to go to it, you may be shunned and at worst, lynched or crucified. And at that time you may think that for what you have done this..?? But never forget that there is someone who believes you and spoke to you in a thousand silent words and after all, what is a ocean..?? It's just a ocean with multitude of drops.

If each and every mystique are already written and known then maybe you don't need to move. But, sometimes we feel like we don't deserve what we have and we quietly walk away into empty spaces trying to close the gaps of the past. And then you speak to yourself that truth has been hidden and it's made invisible by only you. It's not about who has done the guilt to whom but it's about who has suffered. And if it's you, then you are guilty.

Never write the first line if you already know the last. The best poem is the unwritten poem and never try to decorate it. And at last, let the journey be unwritten and let it take you where you never expected to be. - UNEXPECTED.
